In 2013, the Clark County Coroner conducted forensic investigations into some 2,585 deaths—a staggering 894 of which were ruled to be drug- or alcohol-related. Clearly, substance abuse remains an epidemic in Las Vegas and surrounding areas—and its consequences are truly lethal.
